This quote, from this article on a recent muder charge in Pennsylvania, has to be one of the stupidest things I’ve heard anyone say in a long time. Maybe not the stupidest, though…

“I mean, you have many, many stab wounds and those ‘Dungeons and Dragons’ fantasy games involve swords and knives and daggers and things of that nature. There may be a connection but I can’t say for sure.”

Proof to the point, I guess, that guns don’t kill people. Gamers kill people. (although I think the point was originally meant to apply to video gamers… we’re all cut from the same cloth).

Ha ha.

Finally finished my take home test. Or at least, the part I’ve been given so far. Should get the rest tomorrow… will probably finish it about midnight Wednesday night, because it’s spring and I am extremely unmotivated. I also found out that the paper that I thought was due like, the beginning of May is actually due like, two weeks from today. And I have to make a presentation on it. *rolls eyes and flops face first into pillow* Why am I staying in school? I don’t know!

I now officially hate triangles. And eHarmony commercials are annoying. Just thought I’d let you know.

Anyway. I need to find something cold to drink. And figure out when Chad will be home. And go to bed.

Funny for my fellow geeks (from David).

Was sick yesterday… all day. Feeling kinda blah today, but no fever. Big Mike and Jenna came over last night, which was cool because I hadn’t seen them in forever. When they left, I was extremely tired, and didn’t really want to deal with people… so Chad ran to Wesley to talk to people, and I stayed home. Which apparently caused some sort of weird strife between people, and when Chad said he was coming home to cook dinner for me, someone called him fat :-/ I wasn’t trying to be anti-social, people… I was just sick, and didn’t want to see anyone. I was very social to people who were talking to me online.

Various April Fool’s pranks in the works I hear… some more dangerous than others. If I can get ahold of a digital camera, I’ll try to get a pic of my April Fool’s exploit… only true geeks will appreciate. ;-)

The world is funny and disturbing place. Just thought you should know.

In Memphis for Easter… Must think of something fun to do Monday afternoon, to celebrate William’s birthday. And something fun to do next weekend, to celebrate mine :) (note: Chad will be LARPing either Friday or Saturday, so plan party night for then *wink*)

Not really much else new… got my schedule for the summer and fall… classes look good, mostly, times look great (no 8ams!). Thinking about staying on after that, as long as I’m here… maybe I’d make it to a PhD. Or not. “Terminal degree” is such a depressing term. Sound like a disease… “I’m sorry to inform you, ma’am, but you have a terminal degree.” *sigh*

anyway… I need to run away, and like, sleep or something. Or play kingdom hearts… oooooooh. Gameboy. Fun…. shiney… hmm.

omg… have you seen the new H2 ad campaign? “A Hummer. It’s like nothing else.” Um… yeah. heh heh. I’ll bet.

Do advertisers think about stuff like that?

updated the Hatbag button… not much other news here. got a bizzilion meeting tomorrow. but Friday is a holiday :-)

I wear a black trench coat. I listen to metal. I was poor growing up. I was teased a lot in high school. Most people considered me a loner (and still do, to some extent). I know how to fire a gun. I have in my possesion two different (electronic) versions of the anarchist’s cookbook. I was once invited to join the National Aryan Alliance (I declined, of course). And I own at least 20 books on Hitler and the Holocaust.

Apparently, that makes me the type of person that turns into a “school shooter”. At least according to the media at the moment. Go figure.

Thunderstorming here… big time thunderstorm, too. The thunder is shaking the building… and I can’t see any of it, because I’m inside… in class. Sinfest on rain…

In other news, yay for open source software that does exactly what you need it to do, and has an awesome graphical interface (specifically Cluster 3.0, which is currently doing my machine learning homework for me).

rofl… and more rofl.

Blah. My class today was cancelled, but the teacher didn’t send out the e-mail until like, 20 minutes ago, so I’m already on campus. And Chad’s truck is *still* in the shop (they promise it will be “put back together” by this afternoon).

But it’s ok… we roleplay tonight (theoretically). Which will be awesome.
