Yeah. So today was really long, because I had a million classes…. and because I had to limp across campus like, 6 times (I turned my ankle yesterday… or was it the day before?). Long. But somewhat productive, I guess.
Had a weird dream… one of those weird fuzzy dreams where you only remeber bits and peices of it, and it doesn’t seem to make sense… yet you know in the dream it made sense, somehow. So… in my dream, I was sitting in this girl’s lap, looking at the sky (stars? meteors? Dunno. Pretty sure it was nighttime, though…). Can’t tell you much about her… she was wearing glasses, I think? All I know is, it wasn’t Jo. Not the same glasses. We were talking about something, but I don’t remember what… seemed kind of important in the dream. That’s about all I remember… except maybe something about spiders… but that might have been another dream.
Discussion question… anyone ever thought about (or heard about) steganography? (no, this isn’t as random as you might think… I actualy had a reason to ask. working on a lab project).
Dude… I just discovered that I can make PDFs from OpenOffice… without having Adobe Acrobat. Open Source software r0x0r5.
On the other hand, WebCT sucks, because it only is supported by IE. I hate Microsoft. They support crappy programming. We’ll see what Dr. Dampier has to say about it today. Grr.
Happy birthday to my blog…
Happy birthday to my blog…
Happy birthday to my bbbbblllllloooog…
Happy birthday to my blog!
We are 2 years old today. Yay for us.
ok. Commenting back up system is up. Use whichever one works. I’ll check both
I am so awesome.
No reason. I just am.
No really… I just totally made up a lab report… culled down a list of sources to something manageable that I can actually work with when I go to the library tomorrow… checked and answered e-mail… and held several AIM conversations… all while in Statistics class.
But. Ethics class is not nearly as fun.
So I’ll have to get off of the computer now. *sigh*
<--- Check out Willer Lite's blog... I finally poste a link. Aren't you proud?
Back fomr Statewide… and (amazingly) caught up on homework, too… for the moment.
So. Statewide was awesome, except Ole Miss didn’t show
Not sure what I thought of the speaker… interesting. I guess.
But… Get this… Bad Feng Shui showed up to statewide! hey did an acoustic set for us at coffee house.. not the whole band, mind you, just three members (they usually have three more mandolins, and an electric mandolin).
I was shocked and amazed to discover that there is no Bad Feng Shui music on like, any of the file sharing programs around here… I mean, really… they opened for Jimmy Eat World last year.
Oh yeah… kind of an aside. And pointless, I suppose since you can’t comment…
Has anyone seen the new IBM/Linux commercials on TV? Cause I thought that was just way too cool… Chad says I’m a dork. *sigh* So what does the rest of the world (computer techies and not-computer techies both) think about it?
And why is there like, almost zero open source stuff for Macs? Is there not a demand for it? Or not enough designers? (One would assume that demand would create designers… but not always). Interesting thought question, I suppose.
Yeah yeah… I know they are not working. Not my fault. The official Shout Out peoples are working on it…
We’ll see if we can’t get something (a backup system, maybe?) up and running in the next week or so.
It’s on my list. Just haven’t got there yet
Anyone care to comment on the topics of technophobia, especially as it relates to automation?
(If I could cite you as a source, that’d be even better *grin*)
PS… Because David will get a kick out of this… looks like I may be citing an article from MacWorld (in like, 1996) on technophobia as relating to sci-fi movies. Interestingly enough, the MSU ly-berry subscribes to both MacWorld and MacUser. Who’d have thought it?
