ok. Yeah. So I’m not dead. Yet.

But I’m not really in the mood to blog. Or rather, I am, but none of it seems terribly appropriate to post. At least not here. At least not right now.

I’ll be in Huntsville this weekend… so if you’re in town too, give me a call. Matt and Sbbn and Anna and I are dragging my family out thrifting and stuff… and maybe going to Panoply… which is a good place to run into people. And stuff. Yeah.

blah. Skipping choir tonight to go to a study session. blah. Have one test tomorrow and two on friday. Double blah. but I’m out on the 8th… home on the 8th, actually. Yay for summer. *sigh*

Haunted by a jaded past

Never thought that love could last

Hope was but a castaway at sea

Skepticism took it’s toll

Closed the windows to my soul

Was fighting just to keep my sanity

When out of the noise I could hear You breathing

You came along knowing just what I needed

Turned me around and ya got me believin’

You would die for me

Now I’m fearless with nothing left to hide

All the doubts of yesterday, love has driven them away

And now I’m fearless when I am by Your side

It’s forever me and You in this covenant of truth

Ya know I’m fearless…oh yeah

Patiently You stripped away

The walls of pride that I had raised

You revealed the child inside of me

We will run and not grow old

Soar on wings as I’ve been told

Together we will fly the heavenlies

Cause out of the noise I could hear You breathing

You came along knowing just what I needed

Turned me around and ya got me believin’

I would die for You

w00t!! The Astronaut Underwear story went up today… small blessings (like the freedom to wear clean underwear) are very much appreciated here on Earth :-)

You know that scene in Alien (Alien II, I think), right at the end, where everyone is safe in the escape pod, and they’re all asleep and stuff, and it’s all happy… and then you see that the alien is really on the ship with them, and that they haven’t escaped at all, and then the movie is over, leaving you to wonder as to their fate? Have you ever felt like that? I mean, tried to escape from something / someone, only to have it / them appear where ever you went to escape?

Yeah. So there’s an alien in my escape pod, and I’m not sure what to do about it. The non-confrontational part of me wants to close my eyes and hope it goes away… the logical part of me wants to find a new escape pod… the selfish part of me says I was here first, and wants to make the “alien” find a new escape pod… and the irrational, two-year-old part of me wants to yell at everything in sight and cry until it all gets better.

But none of that is going to make it better. And that sucks, a lot.

I guess I’m not a very nice person… nice people get along with everyone else… nice people don’t have violent urges to turn around and clobber someone… *sigh*

blah.

Ok, everyone…. I am still alive… I just tried to cram 10 days worth of stuff into a week, on next to no sleep…. so blogging took a back burner… and, my computer is making awful noises again… need to go out and buy the right sized screwdriver again to take the dadgum thing apart…. grr.

So yeah. Life has been busy. but I htink it might calm down a bit…. if I could ever get some sleep.

Exciting things this past week? My birthday. Yay!! I am now legal… whatever that means. Matt, William, Joe Langley (who was entirely painted blue) and I all went to the hunt club Thursday night to see Sir Mix-A-Lot…. I bought a few legal drinks, and danced until I thought my legs were gonna fall off… I really should do that more often, dancing is so much fun :-) Went back to the Wesley afterwards to cool down and kill some time… then we went and used 10 bottles of powerpuff girl bubble bath to “clean out” the fountain :-) Bubbles all over the place… it was great. Then, at like, 3am, we all went home to go to bed. Because most of us had class on Friday. And homework. *sigh*

I htink I’m cooking dinner at William’s tonight…. call if you’re interested, it should be a lot of fun. *grin*
